Find out more about how AVCS Online can enhance shore-based, non-navigational decision making.
Shore-based planning with confidence
AVCS Online is offered as an online viewing service to help you make planning decisions with confidence. By accessing images of AVCS ENCs from your web browser, you can see exactly what your crews are seeing on the ECDIS on board their vessel - enabling harmonised, seamless decision making between ship and shore.
Bringing the benefits of AVCS to shore-based crews
Bring the benefits of AVCS from ship to shore, with world-leading coverage compiled from national hydrographic offices across the globe, using official standards set by the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO).
By using official ADMIRALTY ENCs for shore-based support (instead of unofficial alternatives) this will help safeguard Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) navigation for your crews.
Offering images of the latest ENCs
Through AVCS Online, you can access images of the latest ENCs, without the need for any manual updating. While these cannot be used for on-board navigation or route checking, AVCS Online offers images of the same carriage-compliant ENCs available in AVCS to support safety of life at sea. These can be used as an effective aid to navigation to support shore-based maritime decisions, to enable shared decision making between ship and shore.
ADMIRALTY Information Overlay
AVCS Online includes the ADMIRALTY Information Overlay (AIO), providing additional passage planning information such as ADMIRALTY Temporary and Preliminary Notices to Mariners (T&P NMs) in a clear overlay.
